In 1996 Darren won his first solo Mo Award, and was also chosen to be a featured performer for the Mo Award ceremony at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre.This year Darren’s career continues to soar, with two solo ‘Mo’ nominations and along with his father (Bandstand star Warren Williams), brothers and sister, a third nomination for Australia’s ‘Best Variety Group’.
In April 1997 Darren was the entertainer for the ‘MICE’ conference in Townsville where, over a three day period, his performances for a myriad of themes received standing ovations from Australia’s Meetings Industry members.Already in 1997 he has corporate bookings in places as diverse as Africa, Bali, Singapore, Phuket, Magnetic Island, Melbourne and Hobart.
A multi talented performer, Darren starred in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘A Grand Night For Singing’ and was chosen to perform in Gordon Frost’s international cast of ‘South Pacific’ which toured Asia.He has appeared in ‘Water Rats’ and performed on various other television programmes and commercials.
