The Charlotte Jane Band is a smooth jazz collaboration of some of Sydney’s finest musicians, featuring Charlotte Jane on vocals and violin, and Shami Marandawela on guitar, plus keys, bass, drums and horns as required.
Charlotte Jane’s training has led to a range of awards, including a Graduate Certificate in vocal pedagogy from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Performer’s Certificate Scholarship Awards on violin. Charlotte Jane also won Best Live Entertainment NSW from the Australian Bridal Directory, and has been a Finalist with the ABIA.
Charlotte Jane’s lush vocals, described as having ‘rare honesty and sassy tenderness’, and violin playing are perfect for your event. Combined with guitarist Shami, their repertoire extends from classic jazz and smooth ballads to Motown and dance hits that will have you on the dance floor.
The band is in demand performing for festivals, corporate functions and events both locally and internationally.
Performances include Star City NYE, 3 Queens of Jazz show for Tasmania’s Festivale 2011, Ben Hur pre-show entertainment at ANZ Stadium and Melbourne Cup. Some Corporate clients include CBA Private, Singapore Airlines, Air NZ, Frost & Sullivan, Tourism Australia, The Australian Women’s Weekly and The Sydney Cricket Ground.
Available as a Duo (vocals/violin and guitar) up to the five piece band, each entertainment package is tailored to suit, with an extensive repertoire and flexible line-up ideal for intimate networking through to large scale functions.
