Throughout his career, Daryl's unique and emotive voice has captured a time and place integral to the Australian Psyche.

Daryl began his career in music in 1967 with the band ‘Bright Lights’, other bands Daryl was in were ‘House Of Bricks’ and ‘Samuel Lillith’, then finally ‘Sherbet’ in 1969.

Sherbet is a band that will forever remain in the history books of Australian Music due to their phenomenal success.  Between 1971 and 1978, Sherbet released 15 albums and 30 singles, many reaching the National Top 40.  Among these singles were ‘Child's Play’, ‘Slipstream’, ‘Cassandra’, ‘Life’, ‘Summer Love’ and of course ‘Howzat’, which not only reached No. 1 in Australia but obtained chart success in England and America.  Daryl also released several solo singles.  Among these singles were ‘Old Sid’, ‘Love Has No Pride’ and the No. 1 hit ‘You're My World’.

His solo career has included the album ‘Edge’ which was a huge success topping the Australian charts for many weeks before gaining multi platinum status.  In 1989 it became the highest selling CD in Sony Music Australia's history.  Five singles were released from edge, these being ‘As The Days Go By’, ‘All I Do’, ‘One Summer’, ‘Let Me Be’ and ‘Sugar Train’.  ‘Rise’ was Daryl's next release in November 1990. This album also gained multi platinum status.  ‘Taste The Salt’ was Daryl's next album.  In November 1994 Daryl released ‘Six Moons The Best of 1988 – 1994’.  In between Rise and Taste The Salt, Daryl joined Simon Hussey, James Reyne and Jef Scott to do an album called ‘Company of Strangers’.  It reached platinum status.
