Bob Valentine Having fronted successful acts like the Lonely Boys and The Sweethearts, Bob Valentine is one of Melbourne’s favourite performers.Being in constant demand on the corporate circuit, Bob has produced many formats to his performances, with influences like Sinatra, Count Basie, The Beatles, Ray Charles, Elvis, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder and Ricky May.The word 'variety' is synonymous with the name Bob Valentine. He has extensive television credits, including Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Good Morning Australia, In Melbourne Tonight, Steve Vizard’s Tonight Live, The Midday Show and many others. Bob Valentine has performed at private corporate functions for Holden, The Australian Tourist Commission, Amway, Ford, Shell, The Nine Network, The Grand Prix Ball, Paul Dainty, Toyota, Coca-Cola, Jeff and Felicity Kennett, The S.I.D.S Foundation, Porsche, Anderson’s Consulting and BMW.He has also performed at the AFL Grand Final, The Australian Open Tennis, The NBL Grand Final, The Melbourne and Caulfield cups. He played at the weddings of Eddie and Carla McGuire, Hugh Jackman and Deborah-Lee Furness, Dermott and Toni Brereton plus the birthdays of Sam Newman, Kerry Packer, Jimmy Barnes, Lee Freedman and Jill Farnham - to name just a few. Bob is also in the enviable position of being one of Crown Casinos’ preferred performers.He has appeared in the Palladium Ballroom and Crown Showroom on numerous occasions with his big band.Bob was one of the invited entertainers (along with his 20 piece orchestra) to perform at the Grand Opening Palladium Concert, and has enjoyed the privilege of supporting Whitney Houston, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder and the legendary Jerry Lewis on both his visits downunder. From 1998 - 2000 Bob’s vocal talents have been heard and recognised as the voice behind "There’s no other store like David Jones" television and radio commercials.He was chosen to record the theme song for 'The Melbourne Storms' and performed it for their 1999 premiership season. Bob’s band line-ups, boast Melbourne’s most prominent session and concert musicians and has sometimes featured guest vocalists the calibre of Lisa Edwards, Ross Wilson, Renee Geyer, Wendy Stapleton and many others.His big band performances feature song arrangements that really create that ‘wow factor’. Bob Valentine is a versatile singer whose wide experience provides vitality and genuine feel.His band covers classic rock and roll plus pop hits of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.When backed by his brass section, Bob also specialises in the swing favourites of Frank Sinatra. The six piece band includes male vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, female vocals.The extra 3 piece brass is optional.
