Website Design by Peter Inglis		Jazz Elizabeth Carthew Few musicians are blessed with talents like Liz Carthew. Not only does she excel on piano, Liz is also a very talented trumpet player and stands out as a soloist, as well as performing in trio, quartet or quintet format. On top of that, Liz is gifted with a beautiful voice which is featured in many line ups including John Morrison's Big Band, 'Swing City'. Liz has played in numerous top venues including Star City, Sheraton on the Park, Sydney Hilton and the Ritz Carlton. She has also featured annually at many international jazz festivals including Monterey Jazz Festival Monsalvat Jazz Festival Australian Jazz Festival Darling Harbour Jazz Festivals. Liz is a featured artist with Swing City and with this band performed with James Morrison in the Opening Ceremony for the Sydney Olympic Games 2000. She also does regular session work and freelances in various rock and jazz bands - including the Errol Buddle Big Band and Ed Wilson Big Band. She has worked with the likes of Don Burrows, James Morrison, George Golla, Errol Buddle, Monica Trapega, Frank Bennett and Harry Secombe. Elizabeth has released a self titled CD that features her many talents in partnership with some of Sydney's finest musicians.
