Jazz
George Washingmachine George has had a vast career in the entertainment business as a musician actor and comedian. In 1984 he started playing fiddle with the "Conway Brothers Hiccup Orchestra". In 1986 they toured the UK and played at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival. In 1987 George and guitarist Ian Date formed a string jazz quartet called "Sweet Atmosphere", which released it's debut album in 1989. Since them they have released two more CD's. George and Ian have carved out a niche in the Australian Jazz World, thrilling and delighting audiences wherever they perform. George continues to appear at all the major jazz and arts festivals in Australia as well as the Edinburgh Jazz and Fringe Festivals. His quintet consists of double bass, guitar, drums, female vocalist plus George on fiddle and vocals. View the promo shot Click to Go Back |
