Sand Artist Brett Bower

Sydney based cartoonist Brett is a classically trained animator who started his career in 1982 working on cartoon classics like Scooby Doo, The Smurfs and Footrot Flats a Dogs Tail.  He has worked overseas in London and United States as a cartoonist and animator.  He is also a past president of the Australian Cartoonists' Association.

The Sand Artist is a unique new performance by Brett Bower. Sand Animation is creating visually stunning shows created in sand and set to emotive music.

Brett creates images that tell amazing stories by drawing on a backlit sand covered light box. As each image evolves into the next, the story continues. Brett’s focus is producing uniquely Australian stories.
