Two years ago Paul Chenard formed Afro-Latin funk ensemble MATANZA, shakin up the live Latin scene. Backed by the powerful rhythm section of Tina Harris on bass, Matanza also comprises young prodigy Steve Marin on drums, the lyrical Andrew Noble on keys, the silky vocals of Virna Sanzone, explosive percussion of Cindy Tan and Paul Chenard on saxophones.
MATANZA can be booked from a 5 piece band up to a 12 piece Latin Big Band. They are set apart from many other Latin jazz lineups by their sheer energy level, charisma and most of all the sense of fun goin' on!
