Maracas
Maracas is an exciting and entertaining 3 - 7 piece band featuring acoustic guitars, Saxophone, Female Vocals and the unique sound of the steel pan.
Maracas brings something totally new to the world of wandering entertainment.They play a mixture of calypso, reggae and groove tunes and once the first note of the steel pan is played, crowds gather to listen. The steel pan is an instrument not often seen in Australia and its melodious tones take the listener immediately to the sun drenched islands of the Caribbean. They perform a spicy blend of island music flavoured with a splash of funk - "Calypso funk", reggae and groove tunes.
